Information and awareness campaigns in schools

Within the AEPS – RORS462 project, PRO MEHEDINTI Association organized 12 information and awareness seminars in 12 schools in the project implementation area (CS – Socol, Pojejena, Berzasca, Coronini, Moldova nova, Băile Herculane; MH – Svinita, Dubova, Eselnita and Orșova). Each seminar – interactive contests and presentations – lasted 5 hours and had topics on: the importance of water for the environment and human health; water use; sources of water pollution, protection of the environment and protected areas; activities and objectives. Due to the existing pandemic situation worldwide, only 1 information seminar took place face to face (at Svinita on 06.11.2020), and the rest (11 events) were organized online through Google meetings. The information seminars were organized with students from the 12 schools who also signed collaboration protocols with the Pro-Mehedinți Association.

Cleaning campaign – Pojejena, Caras Severin

In February 2021, Pro-Mehedinti Association organized a cleaning campaign in Pojejena, Caras Severin, with the participation of 15 students. The cleaning campaign was implemented within the AEPS project, RORS 462, through which the activities started through the “Plums for garbage” project are successfully continued in other localities in the cross-border area.

Cleaning campaign – Baile Herculane, Caras Severin

In February 2021, Pro-Mehedinti Association organized a cleaning campaign in Baile Herculane, Caras Severin, with the participation of 17 students. The cleaning campaign was implemented within the AEPS project, RORS 462, through which the activities started through the “Plums for garbage” project are successfully continued in other localities in the cross-border area.

Cleaning campaign – Donji Milanovac

In December 2020, Pro-Mehedinti Association organized a cleaning campaign in Donji Milanovac, Serbia, with the participation of 15 students. The cleaning campaign was implemented within the AEPS project, RORS 462, through which the activities started through the “Plums for garbage” project are successfully continued in other localities in the cross-border area.

Cleaning campaign – Ponoarele

On 12 of October 2018, Pro-Mehedinti Association in partnership with the Mehedinti Geopak Plateau organized a “Plums for junk” cleaning campaign in the town of Ponoarele, Mehedinti County. The participants at the event gathered the garbage around the Bridge of God and the Bridge Cave.
